For our permanent clients who actively perform operations on their current accounts we offer special rates on account maintenance. Special rates are subject of a separate agreement between the client and the Bank.

Current account features

A current account offers you the following possibilities:
  • carry out money transfers in Latvia and abroad in Latvian lats and other currencies;
  • perfom currency exchanges;
  • pay bills;
  • carry out operations using the remote management systems e-NORVIK and NORVIK Vision;
  • get the latest information on the amounts on your settlement and card accounts using automated 24/7 system NORVIK InfoLINE free of charge;
  • place a deposit.

How to open a current account

To open a current account You need to visit our main office:

  • E.Birznieka-Upisha Street 21, Riga, Latvia

You will also need to submit the following documents:

  • Certificate of registration *
  • Articles of association *
  • Documents certifying signatory rights (Power of Attorney/Resolution of director) *
  • Certificate of Good standing (if more than 1 year has passed from the moment of company registration) *
  • Passports of the persons disposing of the account and beneficiary Owners
  • Other documents upon request

* Certification of document authenticity (legalisation) means verification of the signature and seal of a document. It is performed by a Consular Officer to establish whether the documents drawn up in one country are in force in another one. Legalisation also implies confirmation of the legal status and authority of the signatory.

If the document issued abroad has to be in force in the Republic of Latvia

1. If the document is drawn up in a country which has joined the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents of 1961 (henceforth HC-1961), its authenticity should be certified with an Apostille by the competent institution of the relevant state according to provisions of the Convention. The document bearing an Apostille is not subject to any other confirmation by Latvian diplomatic/consular missions.

2. If the document is issued in a country that has not joined HC-1961, it has to be legalised by Latvian diplomatic/consular mission in the relevant country, or it has to be legalised by the diplomatic/consular mission of the relevant country in Latvia or the nearest neighbouring country, and afterwards by Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Department.
