The Latvian - Icelandic NORVIK BANKA has become a sponsor of the European Youth Championship in martial art of sambo, that is to be held on 18, 19 and 20th May in Liepaja. Sportsmen from 15 countries, including 26 sportsmen from Latvia, will take part in the Championship.
Vsevolod Zelyony, a prize-winner in the judo competition at the Olympic games in Sydney and a member of the Council of the martial art of sambo Federation: “In the championship there will participate over 350 sportsmen, as well as are invited many honoured guests. For the Latvian martial art of sambo, it is going to be a very significant event. I express gratitude to the Bank for the help in organizing the tournament and for support of development of the youth sports in Latvia.”
